Initially the cruise will run from Ramnagar port to Sant Ravidas Ghat. The luxury triple-deck cruise will travel from Varanasi to Dibrugarh in Assam on the world’s longest waterway.
According to an official statement, the cruise will visit 50 tourist destinations. It will be a total journey of 51 days, covering world heritage sites, national parks, river ghats and major cities like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal. Apart from this, travel will be done to Dhaka in Bangladesh and finally to Guwahati in Assam. The cruise will have a capacity of 80 passengers with 18 suites.

The Ganga Vilas luxury cruise will pass through Bangladesh in a 51-day journey. After this it will go to Dibrugarh on the banks of Brahmaputra river in Assam.
Ganga Vilas Luxury Cruise will cover a distance of more than 3,200 kms through five states of India and Bangladesh.
The cruise will pass through a total of 27 rivers of UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Bangladesh and Assam. It will also cover three major rivers – Ganga, Meghna and Brahmaputra.
The cruise will enter the Bhagirathi, Hooghly, Vidyavati, Malta and Sundarbans river systems in Bengal. In Bangladesh, it will pass through the Meghna, Padma and Jamuna in Bangladesh and then enter the Brahmaputra in Assam.

According to Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the charge per person per day on the cruise is ₹24,692.25 ($300). Let us tell you that there are different packages in this 51-day journey.
Speaking to reporters in Guwahati on Monday, Sonowal said the fare is the same for Indians and foreigners. A cruise ticket for the full 51 days would cost more than Rs 12.59 lakh ($153,000), he said.
