New Delhi: Team India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj wreaked havoc with his bowling in the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka on Sunday, while on the other hand stunned by his fielding. He ran out Sri Lankan batsman Chamika Karunaratne in such a way that it became difficult to believe his eyes. Cricket lovers remembered MS Dhoni after seeing Siraj’s brilliant fielding.
Siraj’s quickness came in handy
This scene was seen in the 12th over. Karunaratne was playing after scoring 1 run. As soon as Siraj bowled his fourth ball of the over, Karunaratne pushed it towards the straight. Siraj picked up the ball showing readiness and threw it in the wickets at a stormy pace. The ball came out flying the bails. As soon as the gills flew, the Indian camp jumped with joy. When the umpire gave it for review to the third umpire, it was seen that Karunaratne’s leg was slightly above the line of the crease. In this way, Karunaratne returned to the pavilion after being run out strangely due to the excellent fielding of Siraj.

Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other players including Suryakumar Yadav were happy to see this brilliant fielding of Siraj. This fielding reminded former captain and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni. He used to show similar quickness in his wicketkeeping.

However, with the deadly bowling of Siraj, Kuldeep and Shami, Team India registered a big win by 317 runs by stacking Sri Lanka for just 77 runs in 22 overs. With this, Team India also made the record of the biggest win in ODI cricket. Now the Indian team will start preparing for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The first match of the ODI series against New Zealand will be played on 18 January.
