New Delhi: In the third and final ODI played between India and Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram, Team India’s speedgun Mohammad Siraj created a storm after Virat Kohli’s fiery innings. Siraj bowled such a deadly spell that the Sri Lankan batsmen were left stunned. Siraj broke Sri Lanka’s back within 10 overs by taking 4 wickets one after the other. He dismissed Avishka Fernando for 1 in the second over, Kusal Mendis for 4 in the fourth over, Nuwandu Fernando for 19 in the eighth over and Wanindu Hasaranga for 1 in the 10th over. Nuwandu Fernando and Wanindu Hasaranga succumbed to Siraj’s lethal bowling. Both the batsmen were bowled by Siraj with fiery balls and showed the way to the pavilion.

Siraj bowled Wanindu Hasaranga in the 10th over in such a way that even before the batsman could get away with the toss, his senses flew away. Hasaranga, playing after scoring 1 run in six balls, took out two balls of this over, now it was the turn of the third ball. As soon as Siraj bowled the next ball, he tried to keep it off cutter. This ball became such a dangerous inswinger after eating the tappa that at the speed of the bullet it came out scattering the bails kept on the stumps. Seeing this scene, Hasranga just stood still.

Due to the deadly bowling of Siraj, 5 wickets of Sri Lanka fell in 9.3 overs. Earlier, while batting first, Team India scored 390 runs losing 5 wickets in 50 overs. Due to the brilliant century innings of Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, India scored a mountain in front of Sri Lanka. Chasing which the Sri Lankan team got scattered like cards.
