These days the economic situation in Pakistan is so bad that the general public is suffering from inflation and people are on the streets to protest against the government. But the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif is not desisting from chanting Kashmir even in these circumstances. He on Sunday reiterated diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiri people till they get the right of self-determination as per UN resolutions.

Addressing a special session of the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad, PM Sharif said that Pakistan has always insisted on a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions. He said that East Timur, Darfur and other regions of the world were given independence on ethnic lines but this does not apply to Kashmir and Palestine.

‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ is celebrated in support of Kashmiris in Pakistan

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was speaking on the occasion of ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’, which is celebrated in Pakistan to express support for Kashmiris. In a special message, the Pak PM said that he is committed to the support of Kashmiris to the people of Pakistan.

Bilawal Bhutto said – Kashmir dispute is a major issue for Pakistan

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute would remain a major pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy. Bilawal said that we will continue to provide continuous moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people. Top officials of the Pakistan Army also paid tribute to the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination as per UN resolutions.

Seminars and other events organized

Solidarity walks were organized in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and four provincial capitals on the occasion of ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’. Seminars and other events were also organized to highlight the Kashmir issue and its importance for Pakistan.

India bluntly said- Kashmir is an integral part of India

However, India has repeatedly told Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will always be an integral part of India and India has always advised Pakistan to accept the reality and stop all anti-India propaganda. New Delhi has also told Islamabad that issues related to Jammu and Kashmir are its internal matter and the country is capable of solving its own problems. India has said that it is the responsibility of Pakistan to create an environment free of terrorism and hostility.
