Amar Butala explained why the film was named Mission Majnu. He said that whenever there is talk of Majnu, people start comparing him with a lover, but in this film, we are talking about patriotism. He said that the title of the film has also remained ‘Mission Majnu’. Even since the time the picture started, the film was named ‘Mission Majnu’.

He told that during 1971 it was very difficult to operate the sewing machine, that machine used to run with feet. Siddharth has worked hard to learn this. Not only this, there was a tailor who used to take the machine to Siddharth’s house to teach him.
