Jail lock opened, daughter-in-law of Mukhtar Ansari found inside

Uttar Pradesh: Nikhat, daughter-in-law of mafia Mukhtar Ansari and wife of MLA Abbas Ansari, has been arrested from Chitrakoot jail. DM and SP raided the jail on Friday night. During this time one of the rooms was locked from outside. When the officers opened the lock, Nikhat was found inside. It is alleged that Nikhat used to meet Abbas in jail for three to four hours every day illegally.

In this case, a recommendation has been made to the government for the suspension of Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar. While Jailor Santosh Kumar Pandey, Deputy Jailor Piyush Pandey and 5 jail wardens have been suspended.

DM said – intelligence input was received

DM Abhishek Anand told that we had received information that sensitive prisoners lodged in the jail were meeting illegally. Its information was shared with SP. Then a joint raid plan was made. The rooms in the jail premises were searched on Friday night. One room was locked from outside. It was opened. Then Abbas Ansari’s wife was found inside.

Nikhat and his driver arrested

SP Vrinda Shukla said that two mobile phones and Saudi Arabian currency Riyal have been found from Nikhat. She had come to meet, but she did not have her signature on the appointment register. In this case, Ragauli Chowki in-charge has registered a case against Abbas Ansari, his wife Nikhat and convicted jail personnel at Karvi Kotwali. The Home Department has handed over the investigation of this episode to DIG Jail, Prayagraj. Nikhat and driver Niyaz have been sent to Chitrakoot Jail in judicial custody till February 16.

Let us inform that cases have been registered in Mau and Ghazipur in connection with the provocative speech made against Subhaspa MLA from Mau Sadar, Abbas Ansari. Abbas is lodged in Chitrakoot Jail since 18 November 2022 in the case of money laundering.
