New Delhi: The Hockey World Cup 2023 began on Wednesday with a spectacular opening ceremony at the picturesque Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. What will be the cost?
As per the information, the ticket price for India matches will be available in Rs 200, Rs 400 and Rs 500. While the ticket price for non-Indian matches has been kept at Rs 100, Rs 200 and Rs 500. India has hosted the Hockey World Cup on the first three occasions in 1982, 2010 and 2018. Odisha is hosting the international event for the second time in a row, the previous one was held in Bhubaneswar in 2018.

India has won the title only once
India is gearing up for a spectacular event for its home crowd. India, an 8-time Olympic champion, has won the World Cup only once. India’s only title came in 1975 when it defeated Pakistan 2–1 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Indian team is placed in Group D along with England, Spain and Wales. Pakistan has won the Men’s World Cup four times, the most by any team. The Netherlands and Australia are joint second with three titles each. Pakistan could not qualify this time so it is not taking part.
