Government will make big announcements for farmers in the budget
It is being claimed in the media reports that in the budget 2023, the central government can bring some big surprises for the farmers. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may announce an increase in the amount of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a scheme launched in 2018 for farmers.
Under the scheme, the financial assistance of Rs 6000 given to the farmers every year is expected to increase. The government can take this decision for the purpose of doubling the income of the farmers.
Now payment will come in four installments, not three
Media reports further claimed that the amount to be given to PM Kisan beneficiaries in three installments can now be given in four instalments. That is, if the amount is increased, then the farmers will get the installment of PM Kisan four times in a year.
Explain that due to the continuous increase in the prices of seeds and fertilizers, farmers have been demanding to increase the amount of PM Kisan for a long time. Several meetings have been held with the government regarding this, but the amount has not been increased yet.
Update on 13th installment
The government can release the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi anytime. Sources said that the Center may release the installment before Lohri i.e. on January 14. So far, the government has distributed 12 installments and the last one was released on 17 October 2022.
