Triveni tent city built in 11 bighas
Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta inaugurated the Super Deluxe Cottage in Prayagraj on Sunday in the mini tent city built on the banks of Yamuna towards Arail. Spread over 11 bighas, Triveni Tent City has 20 super deluxe cottages. Which will be available to the people from Monday (January 16) to February 18 at the Magh Mela.
Community kitchen also in the luxurious tent city
Apart from facilities like food and accommodation, boat ride will also be provided for the people from Arail Ghat to Sangam. One can book these cottages through UP Tourism Department. Community kitchen has been made available for the people here.
Preparation of Mahakumbh in 2025
According to the information, this mini tent city is a trial run before the preparation of Mahakumbh to be held in the year 2025. Which would later take the shape of many grand tent cities. This will give people a chance to stay in luxury cottages on the river bank and enjoy the grandeur of the religious festival.
This price will have to be paid including GST
Magh Mela Officer Arvind Singh Chauhan told that UP Tourism Department is ready to take online booking for luxury cottages. The tariff for a cottage is around Rs 5000 including GST. He said that efforts would be made by the department to provide best facilities to the tourists staying in these luxurious cottages.
Steps taken after 2019 Kumbh
It is said that this step of the government has come to the fore after the use of the tent city built during the 2019 Kumbh Mela. People will also be able to enjoy the furniture made of sheesham wood here. Apart from this, these tents have a bedroom, a dressing-cum-store room, washroom and front lobby. Plus the tent is completely waterproof and has a wooden floor.
